![]() The Kentucky Constable Association, Inc. will be a resource/point of contact for the Constables & Deputy Constables in assuring you have the resources (form & fingerprint card(s)) needed in completing this federal mandate to continue uninterrupted access to LINK. Once you complete the initial CJIS online Security Awareness Training and submit the proper paperwork, you will be required to renew your CJIS Security Awareness Training every two (2) years to maintain the required certification. 2019 Statewide Constable Conference
![]() Mark your calendars, so not to miss the upcoming Statewide Constable Conference. Our next Statewide Constable Conference will be January 4-6 & January 11-13, 2019 in Taylor County at the Taylor County Extension Service Conference Center, 1143 South Columbia Avenue, Campbellsville KY 42718. Both weekends will be packed with lots of training opportunities and our Association will provide resources for newly elected and currently elected Constables can get started for the new elected term. |

Planning is underway for the next Statewide Constable Conference which will be over a two weekend period being January 4-6, 2019 and January 11-13, 2019. Additional information and registration will appear on our website later in 2018. |

With the Secretary position having no nominations, there will be open nominations for that position at the next aforementioned meeting before the election process outlined in association bylaws. |
KCA Awards
![]() At our Regular January Monthly Meeting Saturday, January 21, 2017 the Kentucky Constable Association presented it's annual awards. Congratulations goes to the following: Ron Bowling of Whitley County received the Medal of Honor for the brave acts that He and a Sheriff Deputy performed in saving a life that placed them in a life and death situation. Ron has been a Constable since 2011 and a member of the Association since 2011. Jason Rector of Adair County received the Officer of the Year award. Jason has been a Constable since 2007 and a member of the Association since December 2006 while serving in various officer positions in the Kentucky Constable Association since 2007. Currently the Association President since 2009. William "Bill" Troutwine of Adair County received the Distinguished Leadership award. Bill has been a Constable since 2011 and also a member of the Kentucky Constable Association since 2011. Bill has served as Chaplain of the Association for several years and currently the newly elected Vice-President. James Cheuvront of Taylor County received the Distinguished Service Non-Constable award. James has been an Associate member of the Kentucky Constable Association since 2015. Kenny Carl of Bracken County received the Exceptional Training-Education Award. Kenny has been a Constable since 2011 and also a member of the Kentucky Constable Association since 2011. Kenny has served as prior Association Secretary and currently serving as the Treasurer. |

![]() 64.530(2) Compensation of county officers, employees, deputies and assistants, and members of fiscal court -- Excess fees -- Applicability of KRS 64.368 if population decreases below 70,000 For the purposes of this section, justices of the peace and constables in all counties shall be deemed to be county officers and deputies or assistants of county officers shall be deemed to be county employees, but employees of county boards or commissions which are now authorized by law to fix the compensation of their employees shall not be deemed to be county employees for the purposes of this section. |
